Red Light Therapy

The Recovery Lounge offers Red Light Therapy with Contour Light®, which is FDA cleared for use as a non-invasive dermatological aesthetic treatment for the reduction in circumference of waist, hips, and thighs. The Contour Light® system can also temporarily relieve ailments such as minor muscle and joint pain, arthritis, promoting the relaxation of muscle tissue, relieving stiffness, and temporarily increasing local blood circulation.

The increasing demand for health and well-being treatments has led to LED Light Therapy being a popular choice for multiple reasons, a couple of which include its natural effectiveness and zero cellular damage. This is important especially when compared to aggressive therapies such as ultrasound or radio frequency that can cause cellular damage.

What makes Contour Light® so unique?

LED light has been shown to promote a natural response within cells based on the wavelength of the light energy used and the type of cell it reaches. Both mid-600nm (including 635nm) and near-infrared (including 880nm) wavelengths have been used in a wide range of therapies that promote some form of the healing response.

The Contour Light® delivers both infrared and near-infrared light via high-powered, German-made, surface-mount microchip LEDs. Because of the system’s proprietary reflective coating, the light that would normally bounce off the skin is reflected back, resulting in a much higher retention of light energy than with other similar devices. No other system has this reflective coating.
